Not sure where to post this so I'll post it here.
2002 Chevy S10, 4 cylinder, automatic. The instrument cluster will stop working and then come back on. The only gauges working when it acts up is the battery gauge and oil pressure. There is quite a bit about GM clusters and the issues they have on the internet but cannot find my issue. Anybody have a clue? Cluster? ECU? Harness?

Almost impossible to diagnose, without just swapping parts....... My Mom's Jeep was doing more or less the same thing a few months ago. I told her that it sounded like a BCM issue......BUT to be patient... and wait for the unknown faulty part to go totally bad. It finally did. It was the BCM (body control module) Her local shop sourced one from a JY for less than $50
