Well, at least you found them, I will see what I can come up with as far as a good working tach/mechanism that I can install onto the tach face. I will up date you on what I can find. I am leaving this coming week with a friend, we are picking up car parts and stopping in at the Summit store.

Well, I stop here weekly, been collecting parts for the wagon, the charger, and now have my eye on a 67 satellite, 383, auto, and nothing else. Standard interior, white buckets and console, manual brakes, manual steering, for a high end car, its really a stripper. Its been in a junkyard for the last 30 years, but is more or less complete. If you thought 3 gen was a pain, try researching 66 and 67, they are largely forgotten about.

Yea, I have a friend that bought a 67 Satellite... you can't buy nice reproduction sheet metal for them unless it also fits 68-70 . It gets harder and harder to find good used.. and if they don't reproduce anything ..you either live with what you got or go with out!

negotiation is stalled, they want too much money for what is nothing more than a roller. It needs doors, a fender, a hood, and floors, thanks to the rubber floor mat. All things considered, the amount of body work required far exceeds any possible return. I will get it, eventually, but right now I am focused on my charger, and the wagon. If the 67 works out, it will be an easy one.

Bob! Finally made a mix of a kilo and miles speedometer ( the one you sent me ) and got one in perfect working conditions without a broken/fixed spring bushing.
I also found the 2 kilo speedos I had also got a worn input bushing, making the magnet physically drag the needle cup. This was what made to jump the needle around when i was fast ( on the drill )
Dunno if somebody else around wish a kilo speedo? Can part out the extra I have, selling the face, gears and odometer needed for the conversion

I have been trying to stop in a couple times a day. Anybody know where I can find a rear bumper for a 1964 Oldsmobile Star fire? A friend needs one....can't find one I stop in once in a while. Not much time available since I went back to work. Ahh. '64 Olds. The first car my dad bought for me was a '65 F85. Then when it got wrecked (while parked) I bought a '64 Olds Cutlass hardtop, yellow w/painted black top & black bucket seat interior, w/330 hi comp 4bbl. Bought from the original owner. Sure wish I had that one back!

The speedo was in fact somehow "stuck" and was really hard to make it turn like you told me, but some lubing oil and keeping it spining by hand for several minutes got it loose and moving freely
